The whole hitting the girl thing still has me ambivalent (I drew this awhile ago). Then I decided: a.) Damn, did she deserve it. She set him up for murder then tread on the touchy topic of his dead brother; b.) While Fork is a good guy, he's also hardboiled and rough around the edges like most detectives in noir. With that said, I don't think I'll have him do anything like that again; c.) It added needed surprise and impact to the end of the story; and d.) He went for the chin, ensuring a knock-out and no horrible bruises. :-)
